1. How old were you when you learned to read and who taught you? I was 3 1/2 or so when I started reading. I'm not sure how it came about - I seem to remember my mom saying someone worked with me.

2. Did you own any books as a child? If so, what’s the first one that you remember owning? If not, do you recall any of the first titles that you borrowed from the library? I don't know the first one I owned - but I can remember a lot of books I had. We had Dr. Seuss books, Goodnight Moon (which I still have), and the Mr. and Miss. books (which I just ordered for Julia). My mom's friend lent us the entire set of Nancy Drew books - so those were my all time favorites.

3. What's the first book that you bought with your own money? I don't know for sure - but I think it was probably a New Nancy Drew Mystery or Sweet Valley High

4. Were you a re-reader as a child? I don't know about when I was a child - but as I was a little older I read whatever I could get my hands on - and I was (and still am) a re-reader. I was a Battle of the Books dork (and Champion ;) )... I loved "Wrinkle in Time" and "House with a Clock in It's Walls", Judy Blume books

5. What’s the first adult book that captured your interest and how old were you when you read it? one of my funniest memories of a book was reading the "Flowers in the Attic" book with friends on a sleepover in Maine... what an eye opener - but Stephen King books were my main fare as a teen

6. Are there children’s books that you passed by as a child that you have learned to love as an adult? Which ones? So many that I can't even think of any ;) I love books and love to read to the girls. I wish they weren't quite so expensive - but that's what the library is for I guess.

9. When was the last time you laughed? About 10 minutes ago when Anna screamed at me to watch Little Bear (after the first segment was over) and then when the next segment started she whispered "thank you"

10. What's on the walls, in the room you're in right now? Paintings of the beach here, the lighthouse and some photos of the beach and a story about the ship buried in the sand on the beach... and a tide clock.

14. If you became a multimillionaire, what would you do with the money? Set up college funds for my kids and if it was enough money - for my neices and nephews too. Buy a house, buy a cabin and buy two decent vehicles - a new odyssey or sienna for me and some sort of cool car for dan... maybe 2 - one for winter and one for not winter. ;) I would also have a big family reunion so I could see all my aunts and uncles and cousins that I haven't seen in a long, long, long time.

15. Tell us something about yourself that most people don't know? I need to pee

16. If you could change one *superficial* thing in this world - not involving politics - what would it be? I don't really know, maybe add more parking?

19. What do you want your children's names to be, girl/boy? Well - I have three girls - so Julia, Anna and Emma Leigh are high on that list ;), if we had more - I wish I had named Em, Maggie. I also like the names Natalie and Sarah. For a boy - Finn or Kieran

20. Would you ever consider living abroad? Yep

21. What do you want God to tell you, when you come to heaven? Thanks

3. Five items in your house you could part with right now. Well - since we rent a furnished house - just about everything. But the things in my OTHER house I could part with - amazingly - even after we are spending a bazillion dollars to get it here - most of it. I've learned in the past 4 months that most of my former NEEDS were just WANTS. I don't NEED much.

4. Five items in your house you absolutely, positively could never part with. My family and photos are about it... but the things I really really, really don't want to: my cropped jeans that are oooooh so comfy, my laptop, my DVR.

A weird about me meme.... Dori tagged me again... so here are some weird things about me:

1. I have a hard time eating in front of people. Not in like restaurants, unless the people are with us. It took me about 10 years of family dinners with Dan's family to actually in front of them.

2. I suffer from anxiety issues - Lately about a lot of things...

3. I get sick to my stomach when I hear sirens.

4. I have a super bladder. I am great on long car trips!

5. I'm scared of the dark, the boogeyman and things that go bump in the night.

2. When was the last time you shaved? Last night - really!

3. What were you doing at 8am today? Taking Dan to work

4. What were you doing 15 minutes ago? Cuddling with Anna

5. Are you any good at math? Mediocre really. I took Calculus and passed - but I've never been a natural with numbers.

6. Your prom night? Which one? My senior year I turned 18 at midnight during the Prom. Then we had about 30 people to Dan's place for an all night party. :) Dan dumped me after breakfast. ;)

7. Do you have any famous ancestors? Not so much

8. Did you have to take out a loan for college? I didn't and then I did.

9. Do you know the words to the song on your Myspace profile? Yep

10. Last thing received in the mail? bills

11. What beverages have you had today? Water

12. Do you leave messages on people’s answering machines. Most of the time

13. Whom did you lose your CONCERT virginity to? I don't know. It might have been MC Hammer. Not kidding.

14. Do you draw your name in the sand when you go to the beach? no, I do draw my kids names though

15. What is the most painful dental procedure you have ever had? It wasn't the procedure - but the dry sockets after my wisdom teeth removal were nasty...

16. What is out your back door? a porch that currently holds a giant clam... I'm trying to find my camera so I can take a picture of it to share.

17. Any plans for Friday night? Just hanging with the kids

18. Do you like what the ocean does to your hair? Yep

19. Have you ever received one of those big tins with three different kinds of popcorn? yes.

20. Have you ever been to a planetarium? Many times. And not just for Pink Floyd or U2 laser light shows... lol

21. Do you re-use towels after you shower? Yep

22. Some things you are excited about? My kids when they are happy and listening well and not screaming. I'm currently excited about our first big snow - but know I'll grow tired of it quickly. I'm excited about the holiday season - Christmas music and baking cookies, and shopping and decorating and tree hunting and decorating and all that merriment..

23. Your favourite Jello flavor? I guess strawberry?

24. Describe your key chain? It's a bear in the Native American Indian style, and then a house key, mail key, car key, automatic door lock fob.

25. Where do you keep your change? scattered through the house like a treasure hunt

26. What winter coat do you own? I own an 8 year old black coat with a zip out liner. I'm not sure if it will work for real winters or not. We'll find out soon - huh?

27. What was the weather like on your graduation day? I think it was sunny - but I graduated at night. It was warm enough to wear short sleeves.

28. Do you sleep with your bedroom door open or closed?Open - to hear the kids because I'm paranoid of them walking out of bed at night and falling down the stairs.
