My living space

1.) When you walk in your front door, which room do you enter?I like to call it the foyer. Really, it's a 2 foot by 3 foot square with a slapped on linoleum. Classy

2.)Do you have a dishwasher? Yep - it's a nice one too

3.) Is your living room carpeted or does it have hardwood floors? It's commercial grade berber carpeting - and then we have a nice thick area rug on it.

4.) Do you keep your kitchen knives on the counter or in a drawer? Most of them are on the counter in a block - but we're installing a magnetic holder on the wall.

5.) House, apartment, duplex or trailer - Townhouse

6.) How many bedrooms is it? 3

8.) Do you have a yard? we have a small patio and then the back yard opens up into a wooded area

9.) What size TV is in the living room? I don't really know - i think it's a 29 inch - it's 12 years old and huge. Love it.

10.) Are your plates in the same cupboard as your cups? Nope.

11.) Is there a coffee maker sitting on your kitchen counter? Yes - and I hate it. Dan spills his coffee from it - every single damn morning

12.) What color is your kitchen?white with white cabinets and stainless and pewter accents

13.) What room is your computer in? I think they are all in the Living room - although I'm ucrrently in the girls room.

14.) Are there pictures hanging in your living room? Right now only one - an oil of a autumnal scene.... nothing too exciting

1. What kind of soap is in your bathtub right now? In my bathtub is method orange ginger or some such thing and I believe some form of princess bath soap At the sink upstairs is method sea minerals or something

1. Where/how did you meet? We met on the first day of school when I was in 9th grade (he was in 8th)

2. How long have you known each other? since that day in August of 1989 - almost 18 years

3. How long after you met did you start dating? The first time - 3 days. We broke up a month later and then got back together in March of 91. We were together until April 1993 and then we broke up until February 1994 and then we've pretty much been together since then.

4. How long did you date before you were engaged? from the first time we dated until our official engagement - 7 years

5. How long was your engagement? just over a year

6. How long have you been married? 10 years in July

7. What is your anniversary? July 26

8. How many people came to your wedding reception? the one after the wedding - about 80 people, the one back home about 2 weeks later which was an informal event - about 100

9. What kind of cake did you serve? at the wedding we had a white cake with a basket weave and daisies on the top - at the 2nd reception - a yummy white cake that my friend Jason's mom made

1. How old were you when you learned to read and who taught you? I was 3 1/2 or so when I started reading. I'm not sure how it came about - I seem to remember my mom saying someone worked with me.

2. Did you own any books as a child? If so, what’s the first one that you remember owning? If not, do you recall any of the first titles that you borrowed from the library? I don't know the first one I owned - but I can remember a lot of books I had. We had Dr. Seuss books, Goodnight Moon (which I still have), and the Mr. and Miss. books (which I just ordered for Julia). My mom's friend lent us the entire set of Nancy Drew books - so those were my all time favorites.

3. What's the first book that you bought with your own money? I don't know for sure - but I think it was probably a New Nancy Drew Mystery or Sweet Valley High

4. Were you a re-reader as a child? I don't know about when I was a child - but as I was a little older I read whatever I could get my hands on - and I was (and still am) a re-reader. I was a Battle of the Books dork (and Champion ;) )... I loved "Wrinkle in Time" and "House with a Clock in It's Walls", Judy Blume books

5. What’s the first adult book that captured your interest and how old were you when you read it? one of my funniest memories of a book was reading the "Flowers in the Attic" book with friends on a sleepover in Maine... what an eye opener - but Stephen King books were my main fare as a teen

6. Are there children’s books that you passed by as a child that you have learned to love as an adult? Which ones? So many that I can't even think of any ;) I love books and love to read to the girls. I wish they weren't quite so expensive - but that's what the library is for I guess.

14. If you became a multimillionaire, what would you do with the money? Set up college funds for my kids and if it was enough money - for my neices and nephews too. Buy a house, buy a cabin and buy two decent vehicles - a new odyssey or sienna for me and some sort of cool car for dan... maybe 2 - one for winter and one for not winter. ;) I would also have a big family reunion so I could see all my aunts and uncles and cousins that I haven't seen in a long, long, long time.

6. Your prom night? Which one? My senior year I turned 18 at midnight during the Prom. Then we had about 30 people to Dan's place for an all night party. :) Dan dumped me after breakfast. ;)
